No. Germany’s official digital registration certificate lives in the i-Kfz app of the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA). Fahrzeugpass is an independent app for car enthusiasts: you document your car with photos, specs and modifications and share it through a QR code on the vehicle. Fahrzeugpass does not replace any vehicle documents.
There is no payment feature in the beta. How the app will be priced later has not been decided.

The backend runs on Supabase in the EU region Ireland (eu-west-1). Details are in the app’s privacy policy (German).
In three places: vehicle photos are cut out with an image model. Claude can propose catalogue entries – a human approves every proposal; this catalogue feature is built but not yet active. And in support you can optionally request an AI answer (via OpenAI); you can hand over to a human at any time. There is no general-purpose AI chat.
